OEM's to .CAB's
 

title says it all. im just wondering if its possible at all to take an OEM folder and make it an installable .CAB.

P.S i did a few searches, here and on pdaphonehome.com but cant seem to find anything on this subject....any links i may have missed would be appriciated also.

A program like winCE cab will do that for you. You can import the RGU as registry, provxml as xml.

Most of the OEM's start out as cabs though.. so it's just easier to find the cab for the app you want.

Also I know for myself the OEMs I have made available here, I have adpated them to live in /windows (because Microsoft determined that all ROM files belong there), so making a cab from a OEM is often not the exact same as the original cab. (also there is room for human error, both the person making the OEM and you then making the cab)

So i'd have to agree with tiermann best bet is to find the original cab, you'll be happier.
