Ok just to clarify this is what you are calling smart dial correct. If it is than once you start taping the numbers that correspond to the persons name dose the persons name appear in the list? You must make the entries from the touch screen not the qwerty.

i cant seem to choose them from smartdial or contacts...the only way to get it to work(outside of typing the number) is speed dial when it is a two digit number....

Once the names have come up in the list all you should have to do is tap the name with your stylist, or highlight the name using the joy stick than just push the joy stick center button. If this is not working than something is wrong with your PPC. It might be time for a hard reset. Sorry :(

I have hard reset....this has never worked for me.

I wonder if this could be a Verizon thing. Other wise IMHO it is time for a new 6700. Maybe you should try the aku2.2 update what is there to loose if you are going to get a new one anyway

I haven't been back to this thread in such a long time. You are so right. I haven't been able to make a 3 way call yet. I tried using flash and the contacts and nothing. Anyone found a fix to this? I truly hope in the new model of this phone that they were smart enough to add a button or some way to conference call.
