I know its not as cool as the new kitchen but I'am more of a hardware guy anyways. Using the How To:Disassemble your 6700 guide found here,

http://wiki.ppcgeeks.com/index.php?t...mble_your_6700

After disassembling per above directions I seperated the digitizer frame from the LCD. Unsoldered from the LCD and carefully removed broken digitizer from frame. The digitizer is held on by some pretty stout glu stips but it will come up just take your time and don't bend the frame. Install is just the reverse. Hope this helps someone.

Need to change my digitizer. have in the past changed the whole lcd and dig, wasn't that much trouble, but this looks a lot more difficult. Wondering if its worth it for A $30 savings to try and change just the digitizer, or should i buy the lcd combo ? I can solder. also my problem is i have a bad spot on the center so im stuck in alignment mode, cant find any way to get past this sceen, any advise.

Being stuck in alignment mode could also be a result of having touchflo installed. Did this occur after a flash with touchflo installed?

Not sure if its installed or now, go tthe unit off Eday cheap (less than $30) Dones have a indent in the mylar covering just above the center. That why i think it may be the problem. The unit does not have a screen protector.
