Thanks for this...=D> I didn't get to try out any of the others after this one because it seems to do all that I could want it to do. Real cool.. I love that you can set the volume in any number of ways... the steadily increasing volume is a great way to set an alarm, so that it only goes as high as necessary to get the job done without rattling the beejeezis out of anyone else in the room (like Upshot's favorite alarm is sure to do!).
Nope, not for me. I decided on using the theme song to Scrubs for my morning alarm.
Starts at 10% volume then increases to 100% over a preset span. Also set it to announce the time each hour at 20% volume, and not announcing during the hours I'm sleeping.

Don't know if I'll purchase it when the trial runs out or try a couple of the others first. It doesn't make much sense to me that it doesn't play videos as it seems it would just be the same as launching the file and having the associated player open it as normal.

upshot,
Alarm Clock in the Kitchen is an improved version of GSAlarmClock.
Thanks for the Alarm. I just added it to my phone.

I can't get the fade-in to work, though. That would be nice.

I also use the alarm in MortPlayer 3.3, which can wake you up to your own playlist, but only has one alarm.
So I use SmallTime for a countdown timer (close to Today screen to avoid interrupting the counter), and AlarmClock and MortPlayer for wake up alarms. (Liked WolfClock, but it just won't work on WM5,6.)
These all work very well. My first 6700 would not always wake up, but my experience is that it is caused by a faulty device, which was replaced.
