Phone no longer rings...texts come as digest
 

I'm not sure if this is software related or not.

I was previously running an older version of the kitchen [can't believe the amount of technical help and collaboration on this site...its truly unreal and very much appreciated. Helmi_c, naiga, luv2chill, tiermann, gguruusa, saridnour,verizonguy,colonel, wideawake all personally helped ME at some point (THX guys)].....

Anyway, recently flashed to the latest kitchen and after a few tries of making the ROM too big, finally got one to work. Happiness!!!!!

I'm not sure when, but sometime after the 18th I stopped receiving texts normally and I the ringer on my phone stopped working. I didn't put it all together until yesterday.

Calling my phone gets you my VM...sending me a text gets me on the next "text digest" which comes only after I send a text to someone.

I 've since flashed back to a basic ROM with no addins (a few times with different modifications)....no luck

I flashed to my previous ROM (verizonguys devel4 ROM last used 2 months ago).....no luck

I'm considering flashing back to UTstarcom's stock ROM (which will screw up my bootloader ) just to see if that's it...


Anyway, I'm open to suggestions......

Anyone heard of this. Is there some quick fix I am missing???

BTW, I HAVE cecked the phone settings, BT settings, ringer volume, speakers, etc.

Seems its a Hardware problem
 

...so I flashed to the UTstarcom official ROM

changed nothing

I then called verizon wireless, after playing around with the level 1 tech support, I finally go to the REAL techie,

After doing every test under the sun, then changed my ESN to a phone they had and it worked. Presuming it was a phone problem, not a software or update or programming problem, they are sending a new phone and I should get it in 2 days.
