Nifty use of a 6700/6800
 

I work for a satellite communications company (http://www.satellitetechsys.com), and one of the recent events I covered was the republican debate in Detroit. While I was working there for NBC a friend came over to show me what he had set up. He was downlinking my three paths (one for each camera) and sending the output of his decoder (which was seeing my satellite signal via his 3.1 meter antenna in his back yard) into his Slingbox. Then he logged into the Slingbox via his new 6800 over EVDO service and was able to watch my signal, and change between the three channels I was uplinking by using the IR blaster from the Slingbox to change the channel of his satellite decoder. I shot the whole process with my 6700, keeping it in the family I guess!
