battery?

Ok. i hate create a new thread for this topic.
but i reasearch and found some info.
the battery on 6700 sucks, after the green light i take the charger out and i let it stand by for 2 or 3 hour it goes 90% 80%??? or after i surff the way on the phoneit goes 70-60% or low or 20min one phone it goes down to 40-50%
so buttom line is that the battery sucks whats the problem is there any way to improve battery life.

i have a extra battery charged in my car. just for backup.

Well, standby obviously takes less power then when you are downloading things at broadband like speeds. my recommendation is to get an extended battery. you can only do so much with a battery that is 1350 mah, on a devce that is meant for heavy data and media usage

there are a ton of things that can be managed to reduce battery drain

The biggest drain is the backlijght, then the screen itself, *then* data use - wifi, then evdo/bluetooth, and 'receive beams automatically'

So, first thing you do is turn off receive beams, set your backlight lower, set the backlight timeout to 2 minutes, and set the auto power off to 2-4 minutes.

Get yourself a BT headset, and train the voice command for your calls, and use that for your calls.

If you can't be bothered, get one of those 3400mah monster batteries (which will make your phone fatter for sure)

Is your backlight on max, and your backlight and poweroff timeouts set very long?

Followup - for example I now am playing mp3s on mine for 3 hours/day and that only burns 10% of the battery, because I installed 'magic button' (http://www.trancreative.com/mb.aspx) which has a nice 'turn off screen' gesture, so I fire up the music and then turn off the screen - still can navigate just fine with the joystick and no wasted power.
