Sound Issue
 

Hey everyone, hopefully someone has an answer to this one. On my 6700 I was talking with someone on the phone and then randomly they couldn't hear me anymore. My sound on the phone doesn't work at all unless someone calls me, even then I can only hear the ringtone. I answer the phone and nothing. I was using a wm6 rom at the time so I flashed stock verizon 2.XX aku and that did nothing. I then tried the latest stock rom 3.3 and that still did nothing. Any ideas? I really don't want to have to get another phone.

I've have this same issue. In my case it appears to be hardware related, specifically the headphone jack. The ringtones will play just fine, but the speaker and mic appear to be completely disabled otherwise. A bluetooth headset or wired speaker/mic work fine though. Many other people in other forums have reported this as an issue w/ the 6700s. They suggested carefully sticking a toothpick into the headphone jack and attempting to clear the stuck switch and/or contacts. That hasn't worked for me yet, nor has tapping it, or using electrical contact cleaner. I'm going to take mine apart this weekend and I can let you know the results if you're interested.
