Some info about flashing please help!
 

So i have verzion and I am thinking about getting this phone. I want to be able to run windows mobile 6.5 if possible. I get how to flash it and everything but, i am not sure how the phone service works can anyone explain? Would I have to reconfigure something to get my phone service working again? Thanks -Jeramy

i have a vx6700 and an omnia and flash the vx6700 is much easier then the samsung but i just tried to do the WM6.5 flashing and it did go very well the phone is mucked up still trying to flash

1) To register it on Verizon, you may need to call them, or you can use the online control panel to modify your line's "ESN/MEID" number to your new handset.

2) Then you will need to dial *22899 from your new handset to activate it.

If you pick a 6700 up, try to get the Verizon one to avoid the hassles of flashing to a different carrier. I haven't tried 6.5 since the initial release, but it is hungry for memory. I would recommend 6.1, it runs fast and stable.
