Sweeettt!!!... or is it?

WOOT! (I think)...

So my phone touchescreen got all squishy and no longer works in the center and continues to grow worse each day. Last week I went in to get a replacement and got one ordered. I was out of town for the week and got a call saying that they got it in. Now today I called them and asked if its still in. They had to call me back and told me that they cant find the 6700 but that they had a 6800 to upgrade me to that was pre owned for 2 days but is like new. (im not picky, if it looks new and runs new with all the new stuff im good. If its broke i can easily get another)

Now the only problem I have now is, should i upgrade or not? I have been loving my 6700 and all the roms out there for it, but i also would love the new features of the 6800... I am just wondering if I can still get the few things I love about my 6700 on the 6800 like the WM6 HTC Touch screen (the big clock and such today screen.) tethering through the sero plan without them cutting me off. and a few other things I cant think of atm.

Take the upgrade!!! Its worth it...

I'd take it in a second. Tell you what. Take it. If you don't like it, ship it to me and I'll send you my 6700 with plenty of accessories.

And I'm not kidding. If you don't like it, I'll gladly swap.

i know i will like it. but i hope the modding community of the 6700 peeps will slowly but shurly come to the 6800 down the road with all kinds of hacked stuff down the road.
Thats what made the 6700 so darn grea.

Oh no, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

You are right to question the move!, but it looks like your decision has been made for you.

Have fun, see you later, hopefully much later (Omni hugs his PPC6700)

ya I am now a 6800 owner. This thing is sweet and it will take some time to get used to it, but otherwise I love it. Hopefully down the road we will start getting kitchens and whatnot for it. The only complaint I have is how the keyboard is all layed out different and its not backlit. Other than that.

I am a mogul owner and would go back to the 6700 in a heartbeat and vice versa...i guess i just really like both for what both offer in their differences...

The 6800 doesn't have a keyboard backlight? I thought that was one of the pluses is that not only did it have one, but it tended to be slightly brighter and stay on longer?

Perasite 11-01-2007 04:01 PM

it has one but it is light activated (actually dark activated.) It won't come on unless the surroundings are dark enough.

Anyone wants to give up their 6800, I'll take it and give you my cooked 6700 and the spare 6700 I ran over with my car for parts. LOL

I'll even take yours if it has scratches.

It would give me something new to spend hours potentially bricking.
