I haven't sent/received any MMS messages yet, but I have it built into my ROM without any errors on the latest kitchen

please dont flame me BUT ... is there a way to send MMS without using DATA? i know VZ does not want it but the PPC geniuses can do anything

nope...but it doesnt "cost" you any data to send pix/flix. you dont need a plan or anything

This is the catch with the data plans... how VZW manages to pigeon hole us a little more each day. With data, there is no need for a "Pix & Flix" package, just a Messaging package. They make MMS use data rather than a per charge use, so no data plan or a pay as you go data, you will be paying per KB of MMS... with unlimited, you can send to your hearts content even without a messaging package. kinda to stick it to the folks that buy one and dont add a data package. correct me if im wrong here.

On the same lines there is an "Internet" option in the server connect method pull down.

I've got mine to recieve a few on the 3.0 while plugged into my laptop thats running a data card w/plan but never got send or recieve without and its looking the same on 4.2.

Does the server check where the message originates at or is it checking via the phone number? I dont have data package on this number as I already have a data plan on a card that I run a mobil wifi router with.

Is it just blocking my outgoing messages because of the phone number?

Ok, with verizon server set through internet I get 0% send on notify but if I configure a server to sprint's it sends 100% but I get a "Operation failed! version cannot be supported" message.

Setting the default server to port 80 and deleting the gateway gives me 100% sent and an error message of "OK". Any ideas there?

It does go out via the internet setting just doesnt seem that the verizon mms server is giving me any love here.

Just thought about this, what if I set the gateway on the standard verizon mms sever to the of the gateway on the mobile router so that I get the same thing regaurdless of which wifi I'm on?

Without doing a hard reset...anyway to fix this? I am having the same issue...

Well after getting off my wifi over comcast and back over to wifi on my mobile router running verizon evdo, I can send and recieve mms. This is running 4.0.31.23 with reg and server settings set proper for verizon exceot the connection which is set to " Internet".

This means that my number is not blocked via the mms server. Since EVDO ends up at a gateway like any other connect that can only mean the connect to the mms server is no different than from any other address. How can it work from one address and not another? Then from that what can I do to make it work everywhere with internet access?

i installed this OEM with DCDs 1.6.7 kitchen on my xv6800 and when i go to the servers tab, the "new" button is grayed out, and it has two items listed as "default" and "sampleMMSC." I cant edit or even set either of them as a default. What should i do?
