Thanks Luv2Chill... seriously, i put this on the Mogul, and man, you rock! Now we can at least SEE picturemail correctly.. now just gotta find a way to send it..

yea ...I sent Luv2chill a "PM" to retitle this thread......this hack did work till about 27Jan08 that is when Sprint put a Block on PDA phones sending MMS, so for now the only way, is the "Email" way.

this is not working I ziped it onto my phone and Its not working. Please help

Were there any particular custom items to input upon installation? When installed i tested it and it failed to send the images via SMS attachments. Actually it tried to connect via the modem #777. Also the regular email connections were lost while it was installed.....

WOAH wait a sec are you telling me MMS works now with SPRINT PHONES?

Sprint has blocked MMS.

Damn, I thought this was a way to send pic via MMS. I had the old hack and loved it. Recieving I really don't care about. I really haven't had an issue. But damn, I just want a way to send pix from phone to phone on my Mogul >.<

yea...its been sad days since the end of jan...lol....if you send pics to certain people alot like i do, on outlook contacts in the email section I entered

"example:10digitnumber@pm.sprint.com" <---for sprint phones of course

so when I send a picmail email I have the email list come up with something like:

"PetePhonePicMail"

It made life just a tad better 8) not great and I dont have to remember all the picmail extensions from different carriers.

What I hate about the email process is it taking so damned long. The hack took about 10-15 seconds and turned off data, emailing does the send/recieve, and in my case takes about 2 minutes on 1X (no EVDO in my area). At least it's unlimited data...

Unfortunately, for the time being, there really is no true MMS solution to the WM platform via SPRINT. From what I understand, their (SPRINT) MMS server will block any outbound messages that originate from a Windows Mobile OS. For those of you that use MMS quite a bit, there is a work around - a few extra steps, but it works.

Firstly, this is not true MMS. You have to email your pictures out. Why this is better is that you DO NOT have to remember the MMS domain for each carrier (vzwpix.com / attnet.com whatever). You will need an email account that has to be setup on your device - gmail, hotmail, whatever. Something that can send out and email. Once you have done that, attache your picture to an email and send it to <receiver's mobile number>@pktpix.com

The service is 100% free. The only thing I found is that they add a small line at the bottom of the message saying "powered by pktpix.com" - which I am fine with.

I have been using the service for about a week now with my Mogul, M1 (it does have MMS, but I wanted to try), Sanyo Katana (same story) and Nextel i580 and they all work great (to and from each device).

i thought this was a special hack for people to send pictures to any phone straight from their mobil, but from what i see is just a waste of memory, cause i know i can send pics to mobile thru my pocket pc just by going to pictures.sprintpcs.com and uploading the pic to the site and then sending it thru there. you shud try that first before downloading this

"urboypad" dont know what you are talking about, there is no software to d/l.....just send a pic to a 10digitnumber@pktpix.com from a email account on the 67 and that is it...pretty simple....dont need to remember none of the other carriers extensions.

I sent one to myself....you recieve a text with a link....and the pic showed up at full screen...really nice.....

Apparently you're also very slow at reading. There is no way to make picture mail work on the mogul. You send an email to the ten digit number @pm.sprint.com with the picture attached. That's it.

Perhaps I am confused at what this was supposed to do. I was hoping it would allow me to log into the website and view my inbox from PIE on my moto q9c. I installed this but I am still unable to view my inbox. When I go to http://pictures.sprintpcs.com all I see are my uploads. Is there anyway to go there and view my inbox? I have done some searching but with all the sprint picturemail posts i can't seem to find if this question has been asked. I can view pictures when they are sent to me but was hoping there was a way to get my phone to see this website like my computer does. I apologize but I am new to the whole smartphone thing....

I used this and it works great, and does not take a long time to receive, I even used the sprintpcs.com email address, no problems and the xtras steps are no big deal. Thanks

Peterwoman - maybe what you should try is to actually goto http://pictures.sprintpcs.com on your Q and then send pictures that way. You should be able to see everything in your inbox, as well as the items you have aready sent out.

By "temp fix" if you mean the 10digitmobile@pktpix.com, then yes. It has actually become, for the most part, the easiest way to send out picturemail right now...

That's the problem, when i go to http://pictures.sprintpcs.com i do not see my inbox. The only option there is to view my albums there is no inbox or compose or anything like that.

Ah - I see what you mean. Seems to be a formatting issue with PIE. Let me see if there is an alternative way to this. On a round about way, if you use the pktpix method, all the messages you send, should be in your SENT folder...

Not sure if you know that Sprint is blocking MMS on our device. Make sure you have a picturemail account setup with Sprint and try sMMS from the PPC Program section of the forum. As far as I know this is the only way to get it to work.
