Guys

I am squeezing 2 questions in one post.

1) I installed the latest WM 6 rom developed by Helmi. Sincere Thanks for that. But the phone dialer that cames along, does not have the talk button on the keypad. I have to rely on the hardward talk button to call. Do we have a cab for the older dailers where talk and end where on the same keypad.

2) I used the HTC customizer to edit the HTC Home Plugin. Looks great but i would want to make my today screen font color as black. Right now its white and get lost in the background pic i am using.

Why wpuldn't you want to use the hardware button. Having talk in two places would be kind of redundant

^very tru, although it's gonna take some getting used to for me, but I agree w/ phoenx06, we always have a hardbutoom for talk, so y take up the space on the screen for another one.

I thought I was going to feel the same way when I noticed this.
But over the last few days, I'll tell you that I have noticed that I don't think I ever used the GUI TALK button. I always dial directly from a contact list, speed dial or VoiceCommand. On the rare occasion that I enter a number manually or redial the last number, I still find myself using the hardware button.

Can your please just post the files to have old dailer if possible thank you

Did you ever find them? I miss the Speed Dial button as well as the Talk button.

You don't need a CAB or files to get the old dialer back. It's a simple reg hack:

Under [HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin] change "Enabled=1" to "Enabled=0"

Soft reset, and the original WM6 dialer will be there.

Speed dial is still there if you hit down or left on the joystick on the dialer screen.
Also, up or right is the call history.

hey tiermann, is there anyway to disable that dpad function so it doesn't open nothing? i want to use smartskey but that default dpad functions are killing me. only heap left to conquor in my journey to using wm6.

Get the Jimmy 98 "Vista" dialer. It has nicer numbers, big keypad and the talk and end button on the main dialer. once you have made contact another screen opens that you can control the speaker phone, etc and also end. Any of the online ppc freeware sites have it.

jimm98y vista dialer doesn't work with wm6.. i haved tested it myself and it wouldn't work. after installing it i couldn't dial out via hardware/software talk button...

The dialer included in helmi's rom needs to be fixed. I'm working on it now.

By Golly, "talk" doesn't work. And for me, I don't know if this is true for anyone else even the hard button does not reconnect last call "talk" (vista dialer which I MUST have). And now for the last few days I've been searching all the forums for a solution. It's kind of a weird query so you have to sort through all kinds of threads that aren't specific to this problem. Is Verizonguy in a phone booth putting on his superman suit?????? I've also wondered about this Jimmy, and found out that he is perfectly happy with his touch so has no interest in making the vista dialer for wm6.

yeah, thats pretty much how i felt.. i searched high and low for answers on how to resolve this issue. i ended up using paul hammonds dialer and all my issues went to rest.. i am still waiting for jimmy to see if he fixes anything.. if not i am very happy with paul hammonds dialer.
