THOUGH I MAY BE LATE, AND A BIT TIRED OF RUNNING MYSELF RAGGED OVER THE LACK OF SPEED AND UNLIMITED POTENTIAL OF THE XV6700 . . . . . . i am undoubtedly grateful oh great and wise one!

when I download the rom for my alltel phone its saves as a notepad file. ActiveSync gives error (Cannot copy 'A0.rar.' Make sure the fle is not set as read-only, and that you have permission to copy this file type..:scratch:. Can anyone help??

Do you have winrar installed on your PC? www.rarsoft.com. That would be my first guess to help.

Hey thanks for the wm6 upgrade. I was able to succeffully install. However, am having some problems hope you can help.. I used to be able to push the record button I think button 5 upper on left side. and I could say a voice tag to any of the connections that I put a voice tag on and the phone would dial. But now when i push the button a voice recorder comes up but it for notes. all i get for play back is a bunch of noise. Further I can't seem to figure out how to even put a voice tag on a contact. can you help. I have the appache sprint 6700. now with wm 6.0

I am excited about firing you the Cricket ROM, and giving it a shot... I guess I need to do all of the things that I did to make the switch from Verizon to Cricket that I learned off of HowardForum. The only question that I have is where can I find the Original ROM from Verizon in case I need to reload?

Update: I decided to bite the bullet and do the install... Everything seems to working correctly, except that I cannot seem to connect to the internet. I am able to connect via the proxy just fine, but wifi seems to have a problem. Although the connection manager shows that I am connected to my wifi router, any time that I attempt to access a site, it fails. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Funny enough, I have always had problems with issues on my various Ipaq, which is why I would immediately dump WinCE and move to Linux on my PDA....

Okay, I am a total Noob to this concept, but am so ready to upgrade my 6700. I found this thread, but I don't see the file to download? Also, I am on Verizon, how do I know which of the two ROM's I want.
