Yes, just use the Verizon one. Definitely do NOT let your customizations run. Soft reset as soon as you see the "Customizing in 3...2...1" prompt.

Have fun :)

Thanks for the advice. I am pretty new to this. How do I unlock my ext rom & delete everything in it?

It will be a new icon in Start/Programs. Tap the icon. Tap OK when prompted. Voila! Use file explorer and delete EVERYTHING in the ext rom, and you'll have a "bonus" storage area!

I just got a new 6700 that has Verizon bootloader 2.02. Am I screwed?

I have bootloader 2.02 as well. I just used the standard Verizon ROM (not the version for 1.02) and it worked flawlessly.

Ok, that helped a lot! My 6700 is running super smooth now. No Sprint customisations ran after the extended rom was erased.

Major thanks to guitardoc64, gguruusa & of course helmi_c!

One drawback to leaving the extended ROM unlocked will become apparent if you store your email attachments on the storage card. Instead of storing them on the storage card, the phone will now store them in what used to be the extended ROM. You will quickly run out of space.

You can hide the extended ROM to regain that functionality. To do so, open your favorite registry editor, change the following value from 0 to 1, save the changes, and soft reset:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\ TRUEFFS_DOC1]
"MountHidden"=dword:00000001

How hard would it be to make 2 small reg import/export files (cabs?) with different values for that one key so you can hide/unhide it quickly and easily by running the right one then doing a soft reset? Probably a noob question, but I thought I'd ask....

Where did you uncheck the plug-in?

Also, how do I 'hard reset'? In general is there a list of 'special keys' you can hold down while starting/resetting to engage certain modes?

Thanks!! :)

I have found a couple of issues with this ROM -- generally very nice --especially improvements in the contacts!

But one very annoying thing is that the keyboard does not go into numeric mode when either the phone app starts, or when you answer a phone call. I hope this is not too difficult to fix -- this ROM is generally very nice.

Another thing is that Voice command 1.6 no longer announces incoming calls -- it used to in the wm5.
