Upgrading to Apache WM6 CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2) help
 

SO i have a xv6700 which has been flashed over to cricket manually but whenn i try the upgrade with the Cricket rom it says that this rom upgrade is not design for me device so i then downloaded the verizon rom and this one tells me that it cannot get device data so idk what to do should i try the Generic rom or is this upgrade not available to me because my xv6700 has been flashed?

Some custom rom messed up your ROM space. Flash your radio again, then try your cricket rom. Worst case, use mtty to do task 28 55aa, then flash a bootloader, radio, and your cricket rom.

ok so i tried the first option but still no change but i hav no idea how to do the other involving mtty

Follow the "downgrading your bootloader" stickied thread in the main Apache forum. Find all the files before you start (bootloader, radio, rom).

actually i read it in another forum that i need to change the RUU to X.04+ instead of standard and it worked im all excited well thank u so much for ur help n ur time

Sorry, wasn't thinking but that device communication business is RUU related. At least you got the problem solved.

Sounds like you should beat whoever made your first cricket ROM over the head for updating your bootloader to 1.04/2.04/2.05.

oh great now i screwed my self over ok so upgraded it but then i forgot some oems so i upgraded it again and it worked fine until i noticed that a spot in the middle of the touch screen wasnt functioning wasnt working because it wouldnt let me align the screen but i could touch the screen anywhere else and it would work so im like its problaby just the upgrade so i did another upgrade and guess what? now i think i broke the phone so the amain splash screen comes on but after that it just complete blank and doesnt let me go anyehere of anything and it wont let me connect to my computer

put your phone in bootloader and flash it again.

yeah it works out turns out i put to many oems into it
