Managed Programs? WM6.1 What is It?

What is this program called Managed Programs?

Found in Settings > System tab > Managed Programs.

I click on it and the display says Installation History 'No Managed Programs have been installed'.

Anyone have something listed in the Installation History?

Just wondering what this is.

i think it is just new functionality in the OS to allow software devs to write apps that is more optimized in how it is handled by the OS. I am not sure though.
