So far I'm not impressed with 1.41. I live in a low signal area and now I get NO bars instead of 1 or 2 bars... Just my two cents.

Same here, I live in a low signal level too and knowing just how much of drain it puts on our batteries I am downgrading back to 1.27 right now to get back to 2 bars. Right now I just have 1 bar on 1.41. Granted it usaully fluctuates between 1 and 2, on 1.41 it just never goes above 1 here and sometimes loses it.

It is worth trying though and it if it works better for you then great but be prepared to go back to an earlier one if your results get worse. It isn't just about your signal, it will drain your battery quicker if you have a bad signal.

Re: Radio Upgrade

i would recommend to everyone that you stick with your latest stock radio version (which can be acquired with your device's latest carrier image). I have tried the newer radios and have found that they are the cause of lockups and bizzare unexplainable behaviors.

Re: Radio Upgrade

More of a downgrade question.... Can somone give me the 1.05.00 radio.. i think it is the first sprint radio version... I am trying to get the internal GPS to work... I have been reading about this for like 2 months and trying all the various things that people have said... I read somewhere that the original radios of the sprint devices still gave access to the gps... I want to downgrade my radio and see if i can get to it... as reading on this forum i have found out that radios arent carrier specific so I have the verizon 1.10 radio from the utstar.com site but its not the first radio version and also verizon most definitly crippled this feature.. Although i did move my ppc from sprint to vzw and i can use the field trial to get gps data... but not to go off topic I would like to see if someone could upload me the old radio... Thanks....

Will everyone please give up on the internal gps. There's never going to be any usefull data from it. Just go and get the bluetooth gps.

Re: Radio Upgrade

I guess because you tell me to, I should give up... Actually I already have a GPS... You can look at the datasheet for the chipset here http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/data.../361027_DS.pdf
And you will notice there is a gpsONE chip that allows for not only agps but standalone gps... heres the press release for the chipset from qualcom http://www.qualcomm.com/press/releas...press1116.html

But would you happen to have the RADIO, i am asking for? Thank you...............

more info on the chipset -->http://soft.laogu.com/datasheet/35/M...TUM_375007.pdf
