Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
Okay, I am really getting frustrated now. I wasn't able to connect to encrypted wifi or send/receive texts with pictures with WM6.1 , so I attempted to downgrade to WM6.0. After making my 6700 into a brick for a few hours, I was finally able to get it working, but it kept freezing at the Windows Mobile splash screen. I am not building a WM6.1 rom with the kitchen and I am getting an ERROR 100: MODEL ID ERROR The ROM image that you are trying to use is not designed to work on your device. The kitchen is for my Apache and I selected the 2.02 bootloader. Can anyone help?

It seems to me like you probably neglected to include coreplayer or tcpmp (actually both are made by the same company... core is the newer version), but anyhow... you will need something like this to handle the .vlc video format that youtube requires! To be honest I really like the coreplayer, way better than WMP anyhow... much faster, more responsive, and all around way more functional. Now, not to confuse you, but if I'm wrong, I know that there is another possible solution... I know I saw a "youtube player" in the WM6.0 kitchen, and that could be what is letting me play my youtube videos... But, I installed both, so I don't know for sure which is actually providing the needed codecs!? I only know that I actually view the videos in the coreplayer program. I would just install both... I hope I have helped/educated, more than I have confused you! Good luck, -Knight |

Windows Mobile 6 had a bug in the Tasks application that caused the "Active Tasks" filter to no longer filter out future tasks. Does anyone know if Windows Mobile 6.1 corrects this bug and returns it to the pre-6.0 behavior?
