S2U2 0.99c Functionality
 

I've been tweaking my kitchen (5 builds) and came across S2U2.

I've been getting a lot of 'pocket calls' and 'pocket app opening' lately even though I always put my phone to standby when putting it away. I assume this happens when a call,msg, or event wakens the device.

Will S2U2 prevent the screen and buttons from accepting input when it is locked?

Do you have to unlock (swipe) the device to take a call?

for me it does.....i cant even use MSVC untill I unlock the S2U2....none of my buttons will work.

When I call comes in...it will bypass the S2U2 and you can answer the call the normal way or use the S2U2 buttons as you wish.

Van G - S2U2 is the nearly-perfect app for locking the phone. It works really well.

I wasnt sure where to post this, so its going here. I have attempted to upgrade my slide2unlock to s2u2, but when I run s2u2, I cannot slide it. The bar to slide never comes up. I can unlock it using the dpad when i turn on that feature. Thanks

When you state "upgrade" did you uninstall slide2unlock (check for left behind folder/files also check the reg) before installing s2u2?

S2U2 0.99c does have a "Slide To Answer" feature built into it's settings. I've yet to try it out. But, I'm sure it does what it says it does.

That feature only shows up when a call comes in.

Using a BT headset with MSVC and S2U2. Headset will activate VC with no problem. S2U2 is IMO the best phone lock app out there and A_C is one of the best programmers out there!!!:headbang:

That is true ..which I do.... VanG was wondering if s2u2 would disable the buttons...and it does....untill you unlock...just like everyone here agrees it is the best button locker around.

Yes i did unistall slide2unlock before i installed s2u2. I did check for left behind folders but i did not check in the registry.

Thank you Unknown Zone, I made sure that i removed all of the files associated with slide2unlock from my registry, and all is well.

S2U2 0.99c Functionality you can change all the settings in S2U2 settings to cover all the issues you are having with the program. You can slide to answer or not slide etc..... change settings for on screen/off screen, sleep/awake you can replace the flower jpg with your own picture by copy/paste picture and rename picture wallpaper (delete default wallpaper do the same with wallpaperL which is landscape picture), soft reset and your own picture replaces the flower. You can also have it show your weather on the screen saver as well. Awesome program just change default settings and have fun.

dunno if this helps, but i had the same problem. i don't have my phone on me, but there was an entry in the settings, somewhere along the lines of "show softkeys". that particular setting was set to off. i switched it and the slide appeared. hope you're problem is as simple.

Its not (c) now it is up to (p)...updates happen just about daily as you can see.

the cabs are in "rar" format....just d/l to p/c unzip the "rar" and the files will be there.

Just follow the instruction.

it should be a .cab that you copy to your device and run from there.

In the s2u2 folder there is a settings.exe file. You can change the option list there. You can replace the flower image with your own if you want to go that way by opening the folder and replacing the image there. If you want to do it like I have it then set s2us to random then open the registry under A_C's folder you will see a key named wallpaper one for landscape one for portrait. Edit this key value to match the location of your image folders. I set one folder of portrait and one for landscape on my storage card.

OKay, updating .99c to 1.00. I uninstalled .99c, searched for folders left behind, and removed it from my registry. When I run turn on my phone i get an error that s2u2 does not have a trusted certificate. When I run it manually, the bar on the bottom that you actually slide never appears. I can still slide it with the d-pad.

I have an issue where the open and closed screen orientation is backwards on my apache so the program is unusable. Any fixes?

You have 2 types of backgrounds:

wallpaper=portrait mode
wallpaperL=landscape mode

it looks like you need to swap/rename.

In your s2u2 folder you will have a "gfx" dir folder and the files will there.

That changed the background but the slider is still out of place.

Are you running 1.0 or .99, try .99 if you are running 1.0 and see if you have the same problem.

Make sure when you uninstall...check for left over folders and registery settings.

That werid....this is a very simple program

Try opening and closing a couple of times and waiting a few to see if it will change from port to land.

Have you messed with the reg setting, this will increase the speed of trans from land to port as in increase display cache.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE.

Change the value of "limit" from 8192 (default) to 16384 or even 32768. This speeds up your pocket pc but consumes a little more memory.

I got tired of messing with this program so I turned it off but didn't uninstall it. When I did a soft reset today it was on and working properly. Kind of strange...

i thought i'd let you guys know, under the S2U2 setting, if you go down a bit (almost to the bottom, above Advanced) they're are 3 options for the slide aspect of the program. To get it working properly, no 'd-pad' as some of you were saying, the "d-pad' option must be off, and hide all soft keys must be off. Also, there is top curtain, not sure what it is, but mine is on.

HELP.....As mentioned many of times before, and I thank those very much for being patient with me and helping me. But I want to try this S2U2, but I can't seem to locate where on my phone to install to get it working, let alone the correct download. Anyone out there that can help, please do so.

Here you go...

Just unzip... move cab to PPC... click on cab in file explorer on PPC... Done!

I did this and I am getting an error message...."the file S2U2 cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or none of its components cannot be found.

I know to most this is an easy fix, but like I stated, I am a super novice. Please help....anyone. You can respond to this or PM me.
