Yeah, watch your spacing when you edit the rgu. In past experience an extra space, or forgetting a comma can cause an error. Also make sure that the name of the file in between the "" of the rgu is entered EXACTLY the same as the name of the file.
For example, if the name of the file is ringtone.wma, the rgu should say "ringtone.wma" Or if the file name is ring tone .wma then the rgu should read, "ring tone .wma" Also, you can change the "DefaultSound" and "Sound" entries to whatever you want your default ringtone to be, which will save you the time of changing it manually, and also eliminate the need for the Ring-Standard .wma file that you deleted. |
Re: CAB with ringtones
Hey GA, you helped me out once before, quick ?? If I wanted to put my vast ringtones on my storage card like you stated you did in your post (even with the delay), do I need to create a certain file like my rings or ???? or can I just dropem in??? Wanna save space also but dont want to reflash the rom with a .cab right now. Also, do I have too redirect my contacts to the card to get the ringtones to work or will they just work like normal?? Thx

Re: CAB with ringtones
I put mine in a folder named Ringtones. I would suggest moving any ringtones you are using to main memory though. The delay is terrible and you will miss most of your calls. I don't believe you have to direct contacts to the card, you just select the tone from contacts and it is automatic I believe. But as stated you will miss a lot of calls.
