Install the cab and follow the readme.
Old versions don't work anymore.

computercarl 11-28-2007 09:07 AM

ps, works nice on other carriers too... My 3 y.o. daughter will love to watch disney on my phone :) Thanks!

jacksplat 11-29-2007 01:09 AM

tried it...no dice. Followed the instructions, but when I go to run it after copying the cache folder over...it never retrieves channels. I can exit out ok, so it's not frozen..

unitypunk 11-29-2007 01:56 AM

yep that one dosent work for me either.

collindv 11-29-2007 09:33 AM

Hmm. Works just fine on mine. Out of curiosity did you follow the directions (ie. install the cab, run it once to the main menu, stop the program, delete the cache folder from the installed location, move the cache folder from the zip file to the installed location?)

You can't just copy the cache files over a ROM version from the kitchen. This is a new version alltogether.

Is anyone else having problems getting to the link?

jacksplat 11-29-2007 09:35 PM

I followed the directions to a 't'. As a matter of fact, I didn't have the rom version on mine because when the old version started pushing dasies, I re-flashed without sprint tv. So I d/l'd, ran to the main menu (sprint tv, other channels, etc..).

closed, deleted the cached folder, copied the new one. When I relaunched, it went back through to the main menu, but when I click on 'Sprint TV', I get 'loading' on them all.

When you see the "loading" items, wait 15 seconds and click on the up and down scroll arrows. I always have to do this to get it to show the items. For some reason when they are done loading they don't automatically show.

tnsandman 11-30-2007 01:05 PM

Had it working during the day yesterday then I tried it last night and it went to loading on the channels and nothing else.Deleted and recopied the cache again and it worked last night and still works today. Left an extra copy of the cache folder on my sd card so I can fix it whenever it stops working on the road.

ericcire 11-30-2007 02:34 PM

yeah it seems that after a soft reset that the cache folder needs to be recopied.

Jay6700 11-30-2007 03:30 PM

I followed directions and it works. This is incredible, i'm watching cnn live right now, htere's a hostage situation at the hillary clinton office right now it seems. crazy. Who sponsors this, that there's no cost?

Also, if you don't have the data plan, this probably won't work, for those that are having difficulty.

Yeah I get the same thing. All the channel icons come up, but whenever I try to watch one, I get the 7000 error. Any ideas?

el_venga 11-30-2007 03:51 PM

You can download the zip there. No waiting, just transfer.

kid_29 12-01-2007 07:06 PM

help me I keep getting a pop up that says unauthorized user sprint will now exit

ant512 12-01-2007 07:24 PM

Ok so....Sprint Tv Works perfect.......if I'm active sync'd. Once I'm on EVDO I'm screwed. 7000 error unavailable.

Any Clues?

This is probably the same one you guys are all talking about. All I can say is if you are on WM6, download both of them and follow the instructions, it works great. Like others are saying, you can't just use the regular Sprint TV Cab. This one is "special" :) Make sure that once you un-rar the cache you only have one cache folder, sometimes rar likes to make the folders nested two deep, in other words
program files/sprinttv/cache/cache/channels (wrong way) instead of program files/sprinttv/cache/channels (correct way.) If you are getting unuathorized user you either haven't properly installed the cache, or you still have remnants of an old SprintTV install hanging around in your registry somewhere. Try doing a hard reset or a new rom and try the cab again. As for the 7000 error, I have no clue. Mine works just fine on EVDO.

One more thing, if you are getting that message on rapidshare "You have exceeded the amount you can download for free, please choose a plan" (or whatever is says) Just delete the cookies and files on your browser, rapidshare will then forget who you are and the fact that you've visited before and you can once again free download. Good luck, it rocks once you get it working!

ant512 12-03-2007 12:32 AM

Yep worked for me after I soft reset and recopied the cache while app was open.

There is no sponsor, this application is a hacked application that was taken from the Sprint Touch.

mikothy69 12-05-2007 06:14 AM

sorry for the delayed response.. followed the directions and it works great! thanks

da1stprince 12-05-2007 08:30 AM

im having problems with sprint tv as well..i downloaded the cab and new cache folder, it worked for a few days and now when you click on any channel...the screen goes completely dark with no download bar. after a few moments that error 7000 comes up stating the channel is unavailable. i erased the program and cache folders, reinstalled and it still does not work...any suggestions?

rickpub 12-05-2007 11:10 PM

yeah, looks like the "fix" has been fixed....lol. Guess we'll have to wait for another "fix"...

PocketPcUser 12-06-2007 03:06 AM

Can't wait for the fix,.. :hint:..

pdx77 12-06-2007 04:36 AM

I think this is more of a server issue then anything. MobiTV is also having the same problems as Sprint TV right now (They are both powered by MobiTV, but different apps). So it looks like it's something that's on MobiTV's end of things.

bilson 12-06-2007 10:54 AM

To confirm what other have found. Sprint TV works until you have to do a reset, then you must replace the cache again. The 7000 error appears to be that it is unable to receive a good signal. When it works its good.

intrlude 12-16-2007 11:02 PM

Well, just another person, that can't seem to get it to function properly. Delete cache/replace cache. Cache in Storage card to replace when it erases after server update. Nothing. Still just get (channel not available: 7000). I have full signal. Tried, recooking in the kitchen without Sprint TV. Installed the cab via active sync., replaced the cache folder. Zilch.

digit 12-17-2007 12:08 AM

Please, let's keep the SprintTV issues consolidated to this thread. The 7000 error is well-documented; new posts and threads about it are just cluttering the forum.

No insults or offense intended.

davidjospehman 01-26-2008 03:10 PM

Thank you for the file?

Re: Sprint TV problems

I am trying this to see if it still works......

And it did! :)

I love it. I wonder how much I'll pay for this now. :(

matty032 04-09-2008 11:04 AM

Re: Sprint TV problems

Where is the link to the .cab? I do not see any link accept to a pay site.
