Thinking about getting a Trophy

Hi guys, I'm back from a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG recess! I've been thinking about getting an HTC Trophy. I've spent a good bit of the afternoon looking up reviews. I like the phone, but the only two concerns I have are:

1. The battery life
2. The lack of a hardware keyboard

There seems to be a mix of good and bad reviews for the battery life, so I'm hoping to get some more specific feedback on that here. I plan to use the phone moderately, but I talk a LOT (around 2 or 3 hours of phone conversations almost everyday). With this talk time, I probably won't make it though the day with any smartphone on a single charge. Anyhow, give me your battery praises and woes. I need to know.

As for the hardware keyboard, I just need to know if the transition was easy for you guys who previously had keyboards.

Thanks in advance!

My battery life seems OK. I'm running Mango Beta 2 and I find it much more snappier than NoDo. I normally get 8 hours with normal use.

As for the keyboard question. I had the original Droid with the slide out keyboard. I got use to using the internal touch keyboard and never used the slide out so I don't miss it with the Trophy.

I had the Samsung focus for a short while and I like the build of the Trophy much better. Feels a lot more secure should I accidently drop the phone.

Ok, that's good, especially the 8 hour battery life lol. But what about the internet speeds? Is it fast enough, or does it leave you wanting 4g?

I use my phone quite a bit for internet and email. I have 7 emails that sync throughout the day. None of them are push though. I don't talk as much as you on the phone, but I do have some talk time on it. I usually can get through an entire day (8AM-12AM) without having to recharge, but sometimes I have to plug it in for 30 minutes or so.

I went from a LG Fathom to the HTC Trophy. I used the hardware keyboard a lot on the Fathom, but for text I used the onscreen. I was a little worried about just having an onscreen keyboard on the Trophy for long messages, but to my suprise, it seems easier to type on then the hardware keyboard on the Fathom. I can whip out emails in no time flat.

The internet is fairly fast on the phone, I would never thing of getting 4G (especially due to the battery life of 4G). Usually I get around 600kbs or more, but lately Verizon in our area has been sucking it up BIG TIME and I've only be getting dial-up speeds (34kbs). It has nothing to do with the phone though because everyone is complaing about it around here. My wife's droid is also slow.

@WMFan85 so VZW is having the same network issues as sprint? WOW where are u at? I would definitely spam their forums about it that's what I did with sprint and I finally got someone to send crews out to repair that tower on the far Northside of my town, repairs and upgrades are expected to be complete by 9/30.
