What I meant was that the size of the file and the need for tethering made the tethering thing make sense. Tether for larger files and OTA for small applets. That way people who have Caps are not overrun every month after downloading music, programs and the searches.

Not that Data Caps, themselves make sense. That's really part of the reason I've stayed with Sprint even after I was forced over from Nextel after many years.

I'll even admit this is dumb. I understand limits and caps that providers set but, what happens when I am on the road with No wi-fi or PC ? I can't download a game because I am away from wi-fi ????

Just dumb, what the &#*% do I pay for with unlimited data anway ?
