yea that's a hard reset. a soft reset is simply powering off the device and powering it back on.

Yeah, tried that once, even removed the battery for a few minutes, then finally used the Reset option.

Now I'm back to where I first started a month ago and having to work my way back through Error codes in Zune when trying to setup Syncs and connections.

OK, new tick found. I reset the phone, got it home, began reinstalling software that was on it previous, along with my music, podcasts, etc. Marketplace showed I had 5 updates, all were the HTC programs from the Hub. I selected Update All and it did.

Except Photo Enhancer.

When I try to update PE, I get the error message: "You need to update your phone using the Zune software on your computer. Some Zune and Marketplace experiences may be limited until you update."

When I plug the phone back in, the Zune software says my phone software is up to date. I even uninstalled Zune 4.8, restarted my computer and redownloaded and installed it again.

Any Ideas of what I'm doing wrong?
