Can iTunes sync w/ WM7 or is it strictly Zune?
 

OK, I listen to a ton of PodCasts and have been using iTunes fr it for a few years. I've found quite a few of them on Zune also but it doesn't seem to update as well as iTunes does.

I've looked around but about the only thing I've found on the net is for people who have a Mac and are using a WM7 phone(rare I know but apparently they are out there). I'd like get my others on my phone so I can listen to them instead of being tied to the computer at home.

iTunes for a Windows Phone 7 device sorry, Apple or Microsoft would never let that happen, Nevermind the fact that Zune= Microsoft's iTunes.

There are methods to sync data between the 2 (only some things and it's a pain from what I have read) but, to directly sync a WP7 device with iTunes, no, it's not possable.

what he said. it's funny that apple sued microsoft because they wouldn't give them windows media player, but they won't let us use itunes....

So would I be able to somehow take the MP4(i think) file and send it to my phone other than via the clouds?

did somebody really ask this ? jaja Zune in every aspect is better than iTunes, its not as clunky,and much better looking. but yea Zune supports every audio format except for the apple ones so it should play and sync .mp4,.m4a,aac,.wma ,and .mp3, u can also always convert the podcasts to .wma format as well so they will sync better.

I have YouTube downloader, made the YouTube music mp4, and Zune added it...maybe it'll work that way.

For podcast go to your collection > podcast and click on add podcast in the bottom left hand corner. It will ask you for an URL, your going to need the rss feed for the podcast most you can find by going to itunes and going to the podcast in itunes marketplace you should see website somewhere in the info click on that and on the website it brings you to it should have a RSS link somewhere copy that link into zune and your set it will get all of the info for you

if you cant do that PM me the names of the podcast you want/need and ill look for them and send you the links that zune will accept, but I just started school so I probably wont get the links back to you right away it mite be a week

Also to answer you question, no it cant sync with itunes without some hacks that dont exist yet
