youtube app terrible quality?
 

I watched a video ony friends iPhone then again on my HD7 the quality on my phone was awful. Am I missing something ? All YouTube video quality sucks

Not sure, my fiance has the Samsung Focus, and we watched about 1 hr of YouTube videos together before bed last night and it was great quality. I was kind of bummed that the app forces you to browse the web instead of being 100% stand-alone, but all in all I was okay with how fast everything moved and how the picture looked.

Based on my experiences with it, I think it defaults to lower quality streams when on 3G, and reverts to the high quality one on wifi. I wish there was an option for that though. Id rather wait a few more minutes buffering than watching a crap video.

att surround they looked great using 3g if that matters.
