It’s starting to look like everybody’s trying to jump into the Windows Mobile rumor bandwagon lately. This time it’s Eldar Murtazin from Mobile-review in Russia who is claiming (via twitter) to have had a hands-on with Microsoft’s upcoming OS. Frankly everything he said sound shady as hell (and he always had one of the worst track record when it comes to WinMo, he for example claimed that it was based on the Windows 7 kernel at first and then back to WinCE and that development was “stopped” last year…). He goes on to say that WM7 isn’t compatible with previous WM apps (which is quite possible), that the UI is in someways similar to the Zune HD’s but then says that it also looks like the early WM7 mockups we have seen (they don’t look like the Zune HD UI at all so.. WTF?). He then claims that it won’t be out this year (even thought we have LG who, as recently as yesterday supposedly said that they will have a WM7 phone in September 2010). HE then claims that those early WM7 mock ups we saw back in January 2008 are WM6.5 mock-ups (again WTF? The first page of the document has the Windows Mobile 7 logo that you can see at the top of this news and WM6.5 didn’t even exist back in 2007!). Finally, according to Eldar WM7 is a pale copy of Android 3.1/3.2 and the iPhone (so I guess he also had the chance to play with the future iPhone OS and Android 3.X ?) considering that the tmo variant of the touch hd2 may be the standard for 7, I wouldn't be surprised for one leak being created. That said the specs of the touch diamond 3 mimic that of the new t mo hd2 variant in almost all categories. I wonder what the ram requirements are? Because right now the chassis indicates that two devices are available for an upgrade. Regardless this is a unique development. And I assume it is a stripped business version for OEMs

theirs such thing as 1 ghz of ram? It probably means 1 ghz cpu speed and probably minimum of 256mb or 512 (though I hope we see devices with 1 or 2 gb of ram like pcs and laptops a couple of years ago..)

you got rOm mixed up with rAm - WM7 chassis 1 requires 1GB of ROM(read only memory - where all our customs ROM's reside) but only 256+mb of RAM(random access memory- turn off and loose memory used by apps and such during execution). Rereading your post i think you meant it will require 1ghz or faster CPU(processor like much beloved snapdragon)

Again (I've said this about 6 times now), WP7 specs are still not even final, some specs are given but, the final sheet is not there yet.

Any phone maker that is claiming their phone will be fully WP7 ready has a lot of balls. Time will tell but, anyone buying a phone claiming to be fully WP7 ready is taking a chance, even with the HD2... (nice phone btw)

I cant wait to have a phone with a decent amount of ram (have a touch pro 2) and I used to keep getin' the low ram warning..:angry7:

Well I have no idea if HD2 will be able to handle WP7 but i have a windows phone7 cab you can put on your phone. Its just the homescreen with tabs ,not too much function but enough for you to get a taste of it. Its in this website http://www.wp7genisis.com/index.php
