tethering question
 

when you are done tethering, do you press disconnect on your phone and the computer "automatically" disconnects the connection?

that is what mine used to do but not it doesn't auto disconnect and freezes the connection to the point where I can't close it.

anyone have an idea whats going on here?

Sounds like an issue with your PC's OS. Does it do this all the time? In case you don't already know, when you hit disconnect on your ppc your PC will try to sync with your ppc unless you unhook the cable.

yes it happens all the time (It never used to) I normally used to just press disconnect on my phone and disconnect the usb cable and my computer would not have a connection anymore, now it just stays connected (even though there is no connection going to it). Even if I plugged it back in and activated tethering it would not allow me to use the internet connection (no internet would work).

I have done a lot to my phone and pc (mostly my phone) since it not working, so its too hard for me to narrow what the problem is, I figured asking here would be "worth a try"

Yeah, I'm gonna say it's probably your OS on your PC not your phone. Have you run a malware scan lately?:(

It sounds like something in your Comm Settings but dunno what. Maybe your PC isn't seeing that your device is disconnected.

I would like to try deleting the internet connection and reinstalling it, however it only shows up in network connections when I connect to tethering, when I disable it shows its disabled but won't delete.

any ideas to delete the connection and kinda "start over"?
