voip over wifi through earpiece on HTC phone?

Read some past threads but this seems to be a work in progress. Anyone making voip calls over wifi using an HTC 6700 / apache or newer HTC phone. I am hoping that a solution to the earpiece problem for one HTC phone will apply to most of them.

From what I read up to recently even skype uses the speakor of the phone instead of the ear piece.

Goal is for HTC WM wifi calls to replace landline.
