tethering won't disconnect anymore (computer)
 

recently I noticed that my computer no longer disconnects from tethering mode when I press disconnect on my phone, even after I right click and click disable my computer then freezes and still refuses to shut it down.

any ideas why?

try with usb and what app?

it is on usb mode, its like my computer still think its connected, but its not and when I click disable on my computers connection, it freezes.

try just unplugging it, otherwise you may have some issues with your pc

its still doing it for me, I tried deleting the connection and reinstalling it, still nothing

restart the computer that should do it if even that does not do it install the software for modem on your computer

I have had this happen as well when I tethered a lot, the only solution was to do the flash dance (usually there was a newer build to flash to anyways)


I noticed it happens more when you plug it in and use "phone as modem" instead of plugging it in, using hard drive or activesync, then manually opening up the usb to pc and tethering that way, not sure why that is.

I always enter using disk drive then go to tethering program and switch to data, its the same way of always done it, but lately it hasn't been kind to me.
