where to install
i just got my first windows mobile device (HTC Touch Pro) and am beginning to find and install software. for almost everything it gives me the option of installing to the device or the storage card. i have a 1gb micro card as the storage device and i do not plan on removing it until i upgrade it to a larger card. is there any advantages/disadvantages to either place?
i tried searching with no luck |
Re: where to install
One option is to install everything to the storage card, with the exception of those items which are accessed immediately on startup (i.e home screen plugins).

Re: where to install
most programs install to sd card.. certain items like taskbars and tf3d items, main memory. installing to sd card will save storage space on the device..hope that helps alittle...

Re: where to install
I would install directly in the device all the software that i use more often, the rest in the storarage card, is just personal opinion.

For me it is the card.

Re: where to install
The touch pro has plenty of internal storage for me.... I just install to it.

Re: where to install
I say install all apps to device and use your storage card for pictures, videos, music, and backup files. :)

Re: where to install
I install everything to the internal storage space, and use my storage card for holding documents, pictures, email attachments, and file backups. The primary reason is because I have to re-install everything after a flash anyhow, so I might as well use the internal storage, (since it is automatically wiped each time). Besides, even though I install over 100 items, I still have 53MB free on internal storage.
