The (,)'s indicate pause. If you feel the program is moving faster then GV - go ahead add more comma's. The combination set in the rules is what i have found to be the best for me. Results may vary. Even somtimes with me (1 out of 50) i find that the program moves faster then google. However i have alos found this to much better battery/resouces/usabilty wise then any other program.

Hi.
You are right that it does take a billing cycle for the "Pick" number change to take effect.
I too did not understand the op's post fully.
My experience with 3 commas has been that in 1 in 4-5 calls, the String is moving too quickly.
I will insert 4 ,'s and see the outcome.

UPDATE:
I am now using 4 commas after GV# and it is working flawlessly.
5 for 5 with no issues :)

Two ?'s >>
1) What was the default string regarding quantity of comma's?
2) I emailed Google regarding their GVdial application in regards to the time it takes to complete an outbound call using GV with GVdial.
I am awaiting their reply.
I don't see it being any quicker than using Magicall.
What has been your experience ?
Thanks.

1) could be wrong - default string is 3 the 1 the 1 - i'll have to check later.
2) GVDialer id NOT made by Google. There is no Google app for WinMo Yet!
3) Magicall is the best imho.

Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!

I'm sorry guys, it's been a long couple of days and sleep deprivation is catching up to me quickly. Let me see if I can even translate my own nonsense here. I was able to add pick3 to my account the day before my billing cycle ended, so that's definitely not the case. Excuse the poor table formatting, I didn't feel much like screenshot editing right now. 555.555.GOOG is obviously my google voice number. Do you notice how these two calls differ in the ensemble log? No setting changes were made, both calls were placed during peak hours, and the ones on 8/04 will go against my AT minutes even though they showed on my handset as my GV#. I was probably roaming, so that's where the Unavailable came from.

Quote:

Date & Time Phone Number Destination Minutes Used
08/05 09:40AM 555-555-GOOG Incoming 1
08/04 03:00PM Unavailable Incoming 2
08/04 02:00PM Unavailable Incoming 4
Ok, So I checked my call logs and I haven't received any incoming calls from my Google Voice number since I changed the setting (which must have been after 8.05). That was a complete oversight by me and I apologize. I'm pretty sure you need to have Google show your Voice number when calling--I'll edit the post. What we do know then, is that if you spoof your callerID setting to show your GV number, then ensemble will occasionally recognize it. What we don't know is what's going on behind the scenes when the billing system reports "Unavailable". My theory of course, is roaming. I suppose it could also be possible that Google for whatever reason (peak times, call volume/load, or simple round robin) is using a different method of establishing the connection between parties and is either spoofing, blocking, or using an unrecognizable caller ID to contact your handset.

I hope that explains a bit more what I'm talking about. The bottom line is, if you hover right around 500 minutes a month and a significant amount of your call volume is incoming, you might need to be cautious.

Here I am thinking I was emailing Google :(

Update:
I never got a response from the GVDial team so screw them :(
An app is only as good as the support from its developer(s)

You can go to google.com/voice
to check out all the info. You can sign up and they will send you an invite.

Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!

I gonna have to correct you biker1 - google.com/voice is where you ask for an invite. It is diffrent from google talk. Good luck - it takes a couple days for it.

That's what I had. j/k
I just corrected the address.
I actually posted the correct address in full yesterday, but the link was broken so I removed it and replaced it with what I googled which is not the address.
Thanks for catching that.

Re: Google Voice Incoming/Outgoing Options!

I think i'm going to make a video of how magic call works and how easy it is compared to the gv dailer, and i might even compare it to idailer/icontacts wich i think is the best free option.

Because I want a nice visual voicemail app, no its not standard. i can download my voicemails on to a windows mobile phone but it would be nice if it was as integrated like google voice for android, and blackberry. Just would be a nice feature to have whether or not i choose to use it, im sure some of you would agree.
