Little webpage speed boost [only tried on sprint]
Not sure if this is the right forum, but anyways I use Calc's kitchen on my two Sprint Touch Pros. It runs great and all but I hate the load delay on websites.
On my computers I use OpenDNS, its fast, safe and easy! Infact I am always sure to build it into the routers I hack, so why not use it on my phone? Here's how: [all the links are to screenshots of the process] First, go to settings, click "Connections". Second, click "Manage Existing Connections" Third, You should see one named "Sprint" Click the "Edit" button on the lower right of the screen. Fourth and fifth, Click "Next" twice... Sixth, You should be at the username and password screen, dont change anything!! Click "Advanced" Seventh, Click the "Servers" tan at the bottom. Eighth, Input the Open DNS server addresses into the DNS fields. 1) 208.67.222.222 2) 208.67.220.220 http://www.morninglion.com/diamond/Screen08.png Click OK! Ninth and last step, Go to Internet Explorer, it may prompt you for a Username and Password. Just click "Save password" and leave it all blank. Sprint doesn't use one. If you blow up your phone, its not my fault. :violent2: If it works better and faster, it's my fault. Thank you. If this helps you out, please thank me by clicking the [Thanks] button!! |
