I'll have to give you the one about the texting, but using mighty rom i have to get pretty fast to lag it behind. Other than that the TP is an all purpose basically, mini netbook that hasn't let me down yet. Full GPS, full web browsing, VGA screen, 3.2mp camera, full keyboard. And it has windows mobile, lets see the iphone print remotely to a workstaion. The list goes on... If your just going to use the TP for texting and phone calls, you probably needed to get another phone.

WM is an aged, and bloated OS. Developers have a hard time because there are SOOOO may devices to code for and manufacturers like HTC 'tweek' the OS to make it more iPhone like which causes more problems for developers.

MS needs to start from scratch.

Dude, I totally feel you on every account, which is why I got rid of my Touch Pro for the Touch Diamond. It may not be perfect but for me it's much better.

I certainly hope so but am guessing they are going to keep adding to their existing base of code which would mean the same old thing, poor battery and poor performance.

Look at how smooth the iPhone (I know, no multitasking and that's valid), BB Storm and Pre (need to see for myself) are. I just think that we have underpowered devices due to battery like previous posters suggest and the OS is too bloated.

i agree with a lot of these points. i do say that as far as function goes, nothing is really going to beat a WM device...lets see somebody edit a powerpoint on their iPhony.

I do say that they need to make it more open ended. I really dont want to have my phone come with microsoft money, the weather widget, etc. if they took out some of their bloat, i think they would work a lot better. but then by that time your getting more into android, which is still developing.. WM is a pretty stable system when you think about it. its all the fing around we do with the phone that causes it to be unstable.

bottom line is htc don't care. they keep making the phones, we keep buying them. if we all decided that we won't get a tp2, maybe htc and sprint will wake the heck up!
