Sprint PRL 60650

1 Attachment(s)
So Sprint's pushing new PRL's again. The latest for our handsets is 60650. This PRL is used on the Titan, Touch, Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, and Palm Treo 800W.

Before someone asks, PRL = Preferred Roaming List. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preferred_roaming_list)

To load the new PRL you can A) dial *2 and have your account flagged for a PRL update, or B) you can follow the steps below:

1. On your dial pad, dial ##PRL# (or ##775#)
2. Enter your MSL (if you don't know it, I'm sure you can find a program that can do it for you)
3. Tap "Menu" in the lower right corner
4. Tap "Edit"
5. Select "Browse" and locate the PRL file.
6. After selecting the PRL and loading it, select OK. Handset should power off then back on.

Can't wait for the posts to say... hey that made my coverage better! It picks up more towers now. LOL! Again read the wiki! ;)

Actually the PRL doesn't have any impact on american roaming. It's only affecting international roaming coverage. Heh, so it doesn't really do much good to update. Just thought I'd post the PRL anyways incase anyone wanted it.

Actually there's an area that i travel through to and from work everyday where theres usually not any reception. As of last Wed. when i travel through that area I have full reception but I didn't update my PRL but I did just receive an insurance replacement.

Load up the FieldTrial app or do the ##DEBUG code on the dialer. Look at the SID in that area, I bet it matches your SID at home or work. They just simply added a tower.

you're definitely wrong. I work for sprint and every prl update, you can check exactly which areas are affected.

Well once I get to the browse part, it says folder "all folders" and type *.prl but there aren't any prl files listed either under all folders or any of the individual folders.

Why can't we just hit the "Update PRL" icon in settings? Does it not work?
