Re: VZW sim card!!
This is really interesting. The way I understand it is that Storm is a GSM phone that was made to work with verizons CDMA.
In this article, Somebody is claiming to make Storm work on T-MO network. I am really confused. http://www.slashgear.com/verizon-bla...e-usa-2624347/ |

Re: VZW sim card!!
Ok, I did a little digging and found out that Storm is a world phone Which has both CDMA and GSM. This technology is not new. Sprint have a phone before that have this tech. The samsung IP830 if I remember it right. So what the dude does is just unlocked the GSM part of the phone. So he is switching between CDMA and GSM whenever he want to. He basically called VZW and said that he is going to europe and want to use his european SIM. After that, VZW allowed him to unlock the GSM part then he did a little MOD and tweaks then he slap in his T-mo SIM. Prolly been done before that is why he got the balls and Idea to accomplish it.

Re: VZW sim card!!
That is cool.. It is a great feature to have if you go traveling around the world... I wish HTC would make a Touch Pro like that... Use Sprint in the USA and a local GSM carrier everywhere else..

Re: VZW sim card!!
There are a few world phones that do this. There was even the Blackberry 8830 World Edition before as well, so its not new to Blackberries either.
