Like I was saying on IRC, Sprint is just marketing it as 4g. Technically it has been rated as a 3g service. Wikipedia lists it as 'Pre-4G'

I wonder if any current mobile phones will be able to use this new "4G" data system.. I know they issued an update to the Mogul that enabled EVDA rev. A... Would it be a simple software update or a new hardware interface?

Current handsets will not be WIMAX compatible. Use of this network will require a new handset or PC card. Clearwire WIMAX will be at 2.5 GHz and uses an OFDMA air interface.
