interesting article. I wouldn't of thought that, but with the new cell phone prices agreements you get for a new 2 yr contract, I don't know if I see Sprint as greedy or just a business trying to make money. Their customer service leaves much to be desired, but if you are persistent and don't get the outsourced customer service personnel you can't understand anyway then you should be fine. I prefer their prices and their network coverage is very good where I am at. And anyway, if they go bankrupt won't they just get bought up by someone else? What would we (sprint customers) lose?

Ok, so these *******s who are mad because they had to pay to break the contract they signed sue Sprint for exorbitant amount of money, these contracts are rendered illegal. So when this happens, who is going to subsidize the cost of my phones? That Scott Bursor douchebag?

I think that its a simple business plan... If they didn't have early termination fees, the contracts would either be much higher then they currently are, or there would be no subsidies on the phones. The termination fees are there so that Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, etc. can issue nice subsidies on their phones without worrying that their customer will switch.. Its kinda like an insurance plan, I guess.
