What to do when you have to send phone back to Verizon

Hi all, I've searched the forums and can't find my answer. So thank you in advance for any advice.

I am sending my vx6900 back to verizon for replacement. What do I need to do in order to not get dinged for flashing a custom rom? it's a warranty replacement, thanks again...
