NEED HELP! Only gettin the first 160 chars in texting.
 

Hey guys I'm pretty new to PDA's and I just picked up a Verizon XV6800 yesterday. I Love this phone theres only one thing that bugs the hell out of me. Only being able to receive 160 characters when getting a text message. I do A LOT of texting and was wondering if there is any way I can fix this problem? Any tweaks or hacks that I can do besides getting the message sent to me as a MMS message. Any Help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Know that SMS (text messages) are limited to 160 characters, no matter who the carrier is. This is not an issue unique to your device/carrier. A search might turn up an app/tweak that may help

maybe try registry edit thread. ill look for it. look around here, http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=11156 not sure if its here but maybe some you can use. goodluck

even if U send a text with more than 160 char. it will be divided with 160 char. messages. same way as u receive it.

Well, when I receive a text longer than 160 characters long it says this after the message of only 160 characters. Preceding msg modified, media objects were removed and the person who is messaging me has verizon like me.
