Text Message Tones

I have a XV6700 and I was wondering why my text message tone played while I was on the phone with someone. Is there any setting I can switch to get this turned off? please help!

nope once a ppc alert starts... it aint stoppin use audacity to cut one down to 3 seconds

If you're wanting to completely turn off text messaging tone alerts then go to your Sounds & Notifications settings.
