How do I move programs from Main Mem to Storage Card

so call me search-stupid, but I've tried and dug through random post after post.

Is there an easy or semi easy way to do this instead of uninstalling and reinstalling each one?

Not really. It's not recommended since some apps may create registry entried refering the program files on the device. If you then move them manually to the card, when the device reads those entried and looks for the file on the device, it won't find it.

I had a feeling about that but wasn't sure if maybe SKTools or somthing would be able to fix where the shortcuts and regestry entries pointed.

Yeah, uninstall and reinstall each one ;)

Nope, no other way thats as easy and complete. 1 thing you can do though -- insted of finding and running the original .exe on the pc, you can look in the program files\microsoft activesync folder, and there you will find the cabs for most, if not all, of the programs you installed via your computer.

Hope that helps a bit.

Of course the question is does the uninstall process truly remove ALL entries from the registry or does it leave carcasses like the Desktop OSes do? Hmmm.

That's why SK Tools and MemMaid should be run after uninstalling apps, they look for left over strains on the registry.

Pocket Mechanic has a facility to move programs. Works great
