Re: How to tell which HTC using.
Well who is your carrier?
|
Re: How to tell which HTC using.
carrier im using is motorola.

Re: How to tell which HTC using.
Carrier = Service provider. For example: Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, etc.
HTC is a device manufacturer. They are now starting to tag their products with HTC, previously, they allowed carriers to name them whatever they wanted. For example, the Verizon XV6900 is the HTC Vogue. You can always go to Start - Settings - System - Device Information - Identity. The Sprint Touch (also an HTC Vogue) displays: VOGU100. On the other hand, I do not believe your device is manufactured by HTC. However, I am not 100% either, but I do not believe Motorola released HTC products under their brand. |

Re: How to tell which HTC using.
That's not an HTC phone. Symbol is the actual manufacturer of the phone. They are now owned my Motorola.

Re: How to tell which HTC using.
it worked!! thank you. i updated it. i have the wifi driver. but its disable. any registry hack to enable it? thanks.
|
Re: How to tell which HTC using.
You'll need to download a registry editor for your phone. I use SKTools myself.
|
Re: How to tell which HTC using.
I don't think you need a registry hack... open the link posted above with all the info on the device, open the English User Guide (first link) and read from page 50 and on...
If your device has Wi-Fi, it is probably just turned off, not disabled. You probably need to turn it on through the Comm Manager or some software application. |
Re: How to tell which HTC using.
i've read it. i did'nt find the wifi.
hmmm in the system information. WIFI disable. any tips on how to hack to enable wifi? thanks! |

Re: How to tell which HTC using.
There should be an option in the Comm Manager for WiFi to turn it on. Tap Start>Settings>Connections Tab>Wi-Fi.
