Sprint $250.00 rebate?
 

I thought I was only getting a $100 rebate, but I just got an email that I was approved for $250?
Am I having a dream or is this real!!??

maybe its a spending limit, or full upgrade elegibility plus mail-in rebate, or getting a deposit back possibly????

I ordered a Mogul and a Muziq in January, supposed to get a $150 for the Mogul, and $50 for the Muziq. Ended up with $250 for the Mogul, and $200 for the Muziq. Made money all the way around by switching to SERO.

Yeah, they have really been screwing up with the whole mail in rebate thing. I have seen a bunch. both ways. When I got my Touch, it was supposed to have a $100 mail in and they sent me $50. I had to call back in and they sent me out another $50. I had a customer the other day that was supposed to get $100, they sent him $50. When I called in for him, they sent out a $100. WTF? Ah well, if they send you more, good for you. If they don't send you enough....call em!!

I have no idea what happened. When I filled out my rebate form, I noticed that the amount for the mogul maxed out at $100. I paid about $220 for the phone, so I was somewhat satisfied at a rebate of around 50%.
I purchased the phone towards the end of February, so I wasn't expecting a rebate for some time. TOday I got an email that my $250 rebate is being mailed out. (!!!!!!!!!!)
Your guess is as good as mine! I almost didn't post here because I thought I might jinx it. You better darn bet I printed that email out, son.

Same thing happened to me. I sent in the form for $100 but got back $250. I just figured they liked me. Apparently they like you too. :)

I purchased a data card ($20 rebate) at the end of November and a Touch ($100 rebate) at the end of December and sent in both rebates together (which you aren't supposed to do) and in the beginning of February, I got an email that I was approved for my $270 rebate. I recieved the check at the beginning of March and cashed it with no issues. It's a pretty nice phone for only $100.

Glad it happened for you all. I gots nada. I got my Mogul back in December for $99 b/c of the whole change of TOC. The lady didn't say I couldn't send in the rebate, so I mailed in the $150 rebate. I was watching the progress of it on their website. It got to 65% approved, and then a week later after I had the phone for 30 days I guess, it said that I was not approved. It said that I already had discounts applied which made me ineligible for any rebates. I didn't know if I was gonna get it or not so no big deal, but any of you think I should make that call and see what's up?

Uhh... I would probably still call. It's pretty shady that it all ended when your 30 days was up. It won't hurt to call.
That said, I paid A LOT more than $99 for my mogul, AND, my 2-year was up when I bought it. So sending me a $250 rebate could have been their way to keep me as a Sprint customer. (I tried to pull the whole, "oh... I will look somewhere else....")

It Is Real I Received A $250 Rebate When I Brought The Motorola Q9m Awhile Back I Thought I Was Just Lucky And Was Dreaming But The Dream Came True When I Got That Check :)

I have been approved at 83% (awaiting mailing) for about a week. are they waiting for me to be a day late on my bill, or something, and therefore be rendered ineligible? send the darn thing, already!

Sprint is actually giving out $250 rebates for customers who are nearing the end of their contracts. I just purchased a Mogul for a friend of mine and she had the rebate as well.

Yuppers, same thing happened to me.

I'm pretty sure I got the $100 "instant web" rebate, and then the $250 on top of it. Ended up as a really sweet deal for my Touch.

Instant web!? So you basically got $350? Or is this an amount that is deducted before you paid for the phone?

By the way I just checked I am @ 100% and it says check has been mailed. woo-hoo!

Add me to the list of "I got a $250.00 rebare club" plus more! A couple months ago I got the I want new technology bug and ditched my crappy Razr for a mogul. I used the rebate that was available on one of my other lines to get $100.00 off. At the same time, my son was begging for a rumor so I figured Id get it for him and just use the rebate money to pay it off.
Well, in addition, the mogul had a $100.00 instant rebate and a 50.00 web credit as well and the rumor had a 50.00 MIR. Got the phones and sent the rebates right in and lo and behold I get 2 emails one confirming they got my papers and a wek later, another on saying that it had been processed and I would be getting my $250.00 check in about 4 weeks! (It was supposed to be $150.00).
Anyway, a couple weeks after I got my son his rumor, my wife decided that she liked it so much that she wanted one too. I figured it would make a good BD present so I went and got one for her. The sales person told me that it had a $50.00 rebate on it but I told her that I used all of mine up. SHe checked and said that I qualified for one as of the day before!! So, bought the phone, filled out the papers and get another email telling me that the rebate for $150.00 had been processed and I should recieve a check in about 4 weeks!! thast 150, not 50!! Both rebate notifications have different tracking numbers, so they apply to each purchase.

Cool.....this is even better than the "economic stimulus package" that Bu**** p*****!

I have a question then. I am trying to convince my dad to get the Mogul. He has a non-windows clamshell phone and he is also near the end of his current contract. He has 4 lines through Sprint through a "family plan" so he's a damn good customer. The last time he talked to Sprint they said he could get the Mogul for $250 (after all rebates) if he signed a new contract. He did not start the "haggling" process yet, but what's a realistic price he can expect to pay? I figure to try to haggle down to $225 at a minimum, but $200 would be ideal i think. Is that still to high??

I think I figured out why some of you folks have gotten a $250 rebate. I was just filling out my rebate form and I noticed on the first page that there's a box with the following inside:
so if you're already a Sprint customer that is renewing a two year contract near the end of your term, you'll get the $150 renewal rebate plus the $100 for the device, totaling $250.

Hope that info is helpful to someone :)
