Winmo or phone 7?

I really love Winmo, I just need to help spread the word that Phone 7 is not Winmo, I want nothing to do with phone 7....

wp7 is really a dumbed down version of winmo, too many people found the concept of a pocket computer challenging.

Re: Winmo or phone 7?

wp7 is pretty much winmo minus the ota downloads, cab files, syncing like a pc (no more wmp, everything is now done thru zune)....some things that i'm used to with winmo has been eliminated. don't get me wrong, everything works..but that's what ms wanted. they took the computer part out, and just made wp7 a simple, easy to use os. the next time you happen to play with one, just go to the settings and you'll see what i mean. whereas you can break a winmo phone down in settings, the only options on wp7 are either off or on...that's it.

we can thank Iphone's and Android phones for that, as that is what the general public wants is an easy to use setup in their phone.

Thanks Doc... I hope you didn't write all that for me... I was just messing around.
I know the difference all too well. I have a Microsoft Store in my favorite mall here in San Diego... I'm there like every other weekend.
lol.
I hope it helped someone else though.

i think once ms relaxes the rules and it gets an update or two, it's going to be a force. right now, it's very basic.

Good luck. Even if it does get unlocked fully, u still have to find better drivers for its bbroken gpu. Xda going to have its hands full with noobs crying why their w7 run soo slow and tomtom crawls. "why my new shiny htc snapsnail running like my tp2?"

....and btw, the hummingbird is so great that it can't handle a simple upgrade...how many times has the systems running snapdragon (hd2, evo) have been upgraded without issue? your fandroidism would be annoying if it wasn't so sad.

Sorry... Is that a statement or a question? LOL.
I think you may be referencing an old post... I see no mention of an iclone here. However. I do believe that is what some of the Andoidians are calling Microsoft's WP7 as it is locked down and not user configurable (YET). Look at the home page for some news regarding this. Or just click here --- > http://www.ppcgeeks.com/2011/01/04/m...le-home-front/
