Play the music on my phone in the car?
Okay, ive got alot of songs loaded to my memory card. I do not have an aux port in my car, I am running my stock radio and removing it is not an option.
Is there something I can buy and wire to my car that will allow me to plug into the audio port on my cell phone and play my music? |
A FM transmitter should work, although there not that great sounding from experince.

Na i cant use a FM transmitter. I cant even use my XM in my car cause the radio picks up FM too well (and no i dont have a tape deck)

somebodys gotta know

They have FM inserters. Basically it inserts an FM frequency right onto your antenna line so that it is more powerful than incoming radio stations. They make them for XM/Sirius, but you could probably insert the output of your phone as well. I'll look for a link.

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Audio...oductDetail.do has a good description of an item like what I'm talking about.
http://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-FM-Mo...7645269&sr=8-6 has it for a decent price. You turn it on and it overrides the FM station for whatever frequency you choose. Then turn it off again to listen to the radio. |
I was hoping more for something that I wired in and plugged into the headphone jack. I can do the same on my MuVo etc etc

ls6tt, you do wire this in. You unplug your antenna from your radio and plug it into this device, then plug this device into your radio. It has RCA inputs, so you'd get a headphone to RCA adapter and use that to connect your phone to the device. Now you turn the device on, tune your radio, and u get high quality audio with no interference from outside FM stations. Use one like it for my dad's Sirius, and even on stations where he got bad interference from traditional FM wireless modulator, this thing has absolutely no interference.

OOO, and i use what plugged into my phone? Also can I have the charger plugged into the phone when I have the fm transmiter in>?

http://www.amazon.com/PH62089-Stereo.../dp/B0001GAOE0Connect this to your phone's headphone port (you'll need an adapter to convert the non-standard headphone size to standard (look on Seidio.com)) Then connect the RCA end to the adapter shown above. You can charge your phone at the same time with no problems.
