Updated PRL with sprint, can u do data roaming?
 

Just wanna see by show of hands how many can and how many cannot do data roaming on another carriers service (1x or evdo) I myself can't do either with the new prl but I could roam on 1x and get data services with the last prl.

I can do roaming data. It will cost me a lot of money but it works.

You have to be in an area where Sprint has data roaming agreements with other carriers. I'm in Chicago so I won't be able to data roam unless they come to an agreement with Verizon, which I doubt will ever happen. Sprint does have a dat roaming agreement with Alltel, though.

I don't need data roaming in the houston area, besides there are plenty of wifi hot spots ;)

I am working in Chicago today, I tested and data roaming is working fine for me. I am in the Carol Stream area. I have to turn sprint off to get my 700WX to change networks but it is working. Not sure what network I am on.

I'm assuming the same goes for me in VA Beach.

well a member says he can data roam on evdo and he's from were I am from and I can't....what bs.....well I'm off to reflash my rom.

I have a 6700 when I set it to roam only I get a ev icon but I can not connect. what am I doing wrong? are there any settings I need to change?

Does data roaming cost extra? I have the roaming included plans and unlimited data... reason I ask is my girl's LG Fusic promts "data roaming" when connecting....

No data roaming for me, but I roam on Verizon in Laughlin. Will try it again when I move across the river, as I should be roaming on Mohave Wireless.

I also have issues with my data roaming, no clue on how to fix as of yet.....and this has went to the back burner right now, trying to work on custom roms...

When you say you are working on custom ROM, you mean AKU 3? :-)

negative, not as of right now, I had weird issues when trying that.

My evdo data roaming is now working, its kindof hit and miss but is working! w00t w00t. :P 370kb/s on alltel!

:laughing6: it really is a merry christmas. After what a month of errors, it decides to start working! And well I know I will be tethering a lot more! :P I really am a happy camper now. Phones not leaving the roaming setting! I love sero. :D

well, last month, i went to visit my daughter in sweetyellowcorn, missouri and i can definitely say that, YES, i can data roam with the current prl. thank God for that because i was bored out of my mind there. 8)

Ok, the answer was 'No', then 'Yes', then 'No' again. I didn't have data roaming. Then I installed some kind of update and I did have it. But I just swapped my handset and I can't remember what I used the first time.

update ur prl tp 20225 then u will have data roaming.

Ok, wideawake, I finally have the PRL update. Unfortunately, the data roaming still doesn't work yet. I think it must have been one of the unofficial updates that I used last time. I'll have to go through the forums again to find it. Please let me know if you have any more thoughts.

i have data roaming on PRL 20224 i have PRL 20225 now :wink:

i dont live anywhere close enough to leave sprints network in order to data roam, going to North Carolina next month, so I can try then.

prl 20227 here and getting data in so cal although i find its kinda choppy
