Gmail & Push Email - Is it on all the Time?

Hi everyone,

I have gmail and Microsoft Direct Push running on my phone without a problem for 2 weeks. My question is does the "Microsoft Direct Push" inside the Comm Manager always stay on?

I remember looking at my phone and I thought I would see "Microsoft Direct Push" turn on and off throughout the day. Yesterday I noticed I was not getting my email from gmail. So I went in to the Comm Manager and didn't see the the "Microsoft Direct Push" icon turning on and off. So I turned it on and my emails started rolling in. But the "Microsoft Direct Push" never turns off now.

Maybe I am imaging it turning on and off?

Not sure whats up with my push then. I don't think you can control when push turns on and off like you can with IMAP.

If you go into Active Sync, you can adjust the schedule for push email on and off times.

Not sure we're on the same page... lol!

Let me tell you what I have & how I change it & see if that's your situation & if it helps...

You said gmail... OK, I've got my gmail setup under the same place 7 of my other accounts are setup in under Sense 2.5 (aka/formerly Touch Flo), using Win Phone 6.55 on my Touch Pro.

I set it up & then go back into the inbox & do tools, options (you have to scroll up on both of those on my screen to see them), pick your gmail account, Send/Receive Schedule, and change the auto send/rec to anything from 5 min to once a day.

Is this what your looking for?
