I've been digging for the same stuff, sorta.

Your link (after being fixed) is a page that says they are moving everything to a new site, which also says it's not ready yet...

I'm not looking for a full set of tools, at least not right now.

What I am looking for, and have spent the last 5 or 6 hours tonight looking for, is a way to break down and look inside of an nbh file. Specifically the nbh I pulled from a stock Alltel Touch Pro rom. Ok, I know, why stock?

Because there are some registry settings in there that I need, and I don't have a stock Alltel touch pro just laying around.

So, is there anything, or series of anythings, out there that will let me decompile an nbh file and read what's inside?

Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?

The site that Cody linked to is live now, and the "Chef's Corner" with all the great threads about rom cooking are right here at Mobile Underground:
http://www.mobileunderground.info/forumdisplay.php?f=20

But to easily answer your question regarding the stock rom -- you can dump the rom with the visual kitchen (dump button on the left side once you run the kitchen) or prepit (search for it). I would just use the visual kitchen. That's what I dump with generally. You may wanna mod your kitchen and delete the recmod.exe file in the imgfs folder or just clean your dump with the dump sorter, because the VK can create duplicate files within modules (which isn't really a big deal, even if you don't clean the dump).

Got more questions, go ask over at Mobile Underground -- most chefs over there are happy to help.

that makes sense for a released rom on the phone already, but where do people get the leaked roms of newer versions? 6.5
